Louise Redknapp has finally spoken about the impact her ex-husband Jamie Redknapp remarrying has had on her and their two sons.
The singer had avoided addressing the subject until now, but was more than happy to open up about the possibility of dating.
Louise was married to Jamie, 49, for almost 20 years but their relationship broke down and they divorced in 2017. Jamie has since moved on with Swedish model Frida Andersson.
The pair welcomed son Raphael back in November, posting adorable snaps alongside Charley, 18, and Beau, 13 - the kids the ex footballer shares with Louise.
Louise has now been chatting about the effect of Jamie's decision to move on as she vowed to steer clear of dating apps.
"I've felt this as a mum and, to say this in the most sort of respectful way, my boys' lives changed dramatically and then it changed again when obviously Jamie got married and had a family," the 47-year-old explained to Hello! Magazine.
"Their life changed and I felt like I needed to be their one staple - that's just something I think a lot of mums would feel."
On finding love again herself, her boys would be right behind it as they tell her they will be totally fine with a man in her life.
However, there's more heartache coming first.
Teen Charley is about to move to Arizona to continue his studies and play rugby.
"I literally cry about ten times a day," she added. "He's been a huge strength for me - it's so hard to accept that as a parent you have to let them flee the nest, you have to let them grow up but oh god the next few weeks are going to be a real challenge."
The boys seem to be right behind her as she herself tries to move forward.
Speaking to Fabulous last year, she said: "‘They always say “When are you going to [date]?
"All my boys care about is me being happy – whatever that is.'"
A source also added that Louise's sons want her to be happy and have pointed to how happy Jamie is after remarrying.
Jamie has meanwhile already begun training his son Raphael to follow in the footsteps of his football family.
He guided his baby boy to kick a little ball and fans quickly told him he's got skills like his dad.
