Louis Rees-Zammit came up with a moment of extraordinary defensive brilliance that left spectators gasping and commentators in disbelief.
The Welsh winger somehow saved a certain try just yards from the line in Gloucester's home derby against Bristol, punching the ball out of the hands of Dan Thomas as he was about to score. The moment came just minutes after Rees-Zammit had been involved in an altercation with All Black Charles Piutau, and it resulted in a minor disagreement with Wales team-mate Callum Sheedy.
Welshman Thomas looked certain to score after Piutau sliced through Gloucester's defence, but Rees-Zammit ate up ground and swung his fist to dislodge the ball as Thomas was about the dive for glory.
The moment was described as "an extraordinary play" by the BT Sport commentary team, with pundit Lawrence Dallaglio simply saying: "Have a look at that! Oh, my word."
The adrenaline rush seemed to get the better of Rees-Zammit as he unnecessarily appeared to goad Thomas in the immediate aftermath before briefly grappling with Bristol's Sheedy.
Gloucester won a thrilling match 31-28.
