Kate Middleton appeared to have her work cut out as the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations got underway today.
The Royal Family came together to enjoy the Trooping the Colour and the spectacular Red Arrows flypast, even if the noise was a little too much for Louis who could be seen clasping his ears from the Buckingham Palace balcony.
With all eyes on George, eight, Charlotte, seven and four-year-old Louis, they could all be forgiven for finding the whole occasion a little overwhelming.
Trooping the Colour marked the trio's first major engagement together and the first time they have joined in a carriage procession.
Kate expertly kept the three children calm as they travelled towards Horse Guards Parade by pointing out flags in the crowd and explaining where they were going.
According to a lipreader, the Duchess of Cambridge, 40, appeared to say, "This is wonderful, look at all these people!" in an attempt to stop them getting overawed by such a momentous event.
Eagle-eyed viewers also saw Louis spot Prince William, who took part in the parade on horseback, exclaiming: "Look, that's Dad!" from the carriage.

The Duchess was also thought to have told her children, "Look at these colours and all the flags!" as they passed thousands of well-wishers on the Mall, some of whom had been camping for over two days to secure a prime spot.
Prince George also appeared to turn to the crowd and say "wow" as he saw for himself the thousands of people who had turned out to celebrate his great-grandmother's 70 years on the throne.
Charlotte, meanwhile, giggled "wow!" while George asked his mum where the carriage planned on stopping., the MailOnline reports.
When the national anthem was played as the carriage entered Horse Guards Parade, the three young children respectfully bowed their heads.
A minor squabble broke out in the carriage after Charlotte thought little Louis, who was wearing a similar outfit to his father at the 1985 Trooping the Colour showpiece, was perhaps waiving too enthusiastically to the crowds.
It was the first time the Cambridge children had taken part in the military parade together, and their excitement was more than understandable.
Meanwhile, Louis stole the hearts of the nation when he could be seen holding his ears as the noisy planes ripped through the sky for the breathtaking flypast.
Prior to that, he could be seen waving at the planes and chatting to the Queen during the incredible display.
At one point, the four-year-old prince appeared to yawn as his mother whispered in his ear before he turned to his great-grandmother to ask a question.
"Prince Louis is stealing the show," wrote one person on social media.
"Prince Louis screaming crying at the planes being too loud will undoubtedly be my favourite Jubilee moment," added another.
