A loud bang was heard over Bristol last Friday (January 7) which left confused residents uncertain about what caused it.
People took to social media to try and identify the reason for the "bang" that was heard all across the city.
Residents living in Brentry and Sea Mills in particular said the bang was loud, but even people living as far as Brislington heard the noise.

Rachel Hussain, who lives in south Bristol, said: "I was woken by the biggest flash I had ever seen, through my blackout curtains, then the loudest bang before I had a chance to evaluate what was going on.
"I presumed it was thunder as we had hailstones or very large snow flakes on the ground. My son reported hearing a loud bang around midnight too."
And Danielle Nolan, a resident of Whitchurch, managed to capture the loud bang on her doorbell camera.
She said: "We got woken up by the loud bang around 4.40am. It was so loud it triggered our doorbell to record the footage.
"In the video, there is a huge wash of bright light in the sky followed by the large bang.
"We first thought it was thunder and lightning but there was no rumbling noise, it sounded like a sudden explosion with no warning."
Carol Cotton also reached out and said: "We live in Keynsham and my husband also heard this bang. He also felt the house vibrate and went downstairs to check if everything was alright."
This is not the first time that there has been a loud noise of some sort at a strange time, with a "long rumbling noise" at the end of November that is unexplained.
