If you are a winner, be sure to sign the back of your ticket and put it in a safe place before contacting the National Lottery.
Depending on the size of your prize, officials will organise your receipt of the funds as soon as you’re proven as one of the winners.
If you’re an online player, and therefore don’t have a physical ticket, the Lotto bosses explain: “Players who have registered with an online account and choose to play through our website www.lottery.ie or on the app can find their prize in a number of ways.
“Prize amounts from €1 - €99 will automatically be transferred to your online wallet. You may withdraw any unused funds at any time by logging in and selecting 'My Account' followed by 'Withdraw' and the specified amount will be issued by cheque, stamped “Account Payee Only”, to the address specified in your Player Account."
Meanwhile, in last night's EuroMillions, one lucky ticket holder matched five numbers to win €24,522.
