Lottie Ryan has opened up about her late father Gerry Ryan saying he would have been an “amazing” grandad.
The 2FM presenter and her husband Fabio Aprile welcomed baby Wolf in June 2021 and she remarked how Gerry would have doted on the tot.
Lottie, 37, told the Irish Sunday Mirror: “I think he would have been an amazing granddad.

“He would 100% have been the babysitter and he would have spoiled him rotten.
“He would have been obsessed with him and absolutely adored him.
“He would have been an incredible grandad.”
Legendary broadcaster Gerry died suddenly aged 53 in 2010, and Lottie believes he would have been proud of her no matter what she did.
She said: “I could have cleaned the toilets and he would have been proud. He was that type of dad, he thought the sun shone out of our arses.
“Mine especially because I was his favourite no matter what I did.
“My brother Rex is mum’s favourite.”
Lottie, who has teamed up with 2FM colleague Jennifer Zamparelli for a new podcast, said Gerry would have ruled the media platform.
She added: “In this world of podcasts he would be absolutely dominating.
“He would have been completely free in himself. He would have loved it. It would have been a great space for him.”
The broadcaster revealed she got flack after episode one of Jen & Lottie do... Parenting aired.
Lottie explained: “I got a bit rinsed in my family Whatsapp group after it went out. I kind of said, ‘I don’t get any help with babysitting from them’.
“My sister Bonnie minded him once.”
“In the Whatsapp group... they were like, what did you say about us Lottie?
“I said, ‘I only told the truth’.”
Wolf was born eight weeks early via emergency C-section.
Lottie said: “I think people think C-sections are an easy way out but it’s seriously heavy going surgery.”
After giving birth she did not seek professional help to discuss the trauma.
Lottie said: “I didn’t talk to anybody. I did talk a lot to my husband.
“The two of us were going through it and we were shell shocked.”
The presenter won the fourth season of Dancing With The Stars in 2020 with dance partner Pasquale La Rocca.
She recalled: “The year after, I had just had a baby, they asked me to come back with my pro partner to perform one of the routines.
“But it was very soon after I had given birth. I had to get medical clearance because I was being flung around in the air that much. I’m the fool.”
