Lottie Ryan has revealed her recent holiday got off to a tragic start when a man dropped dead in front of her and her family.
The RTE star was taking a well-earned break in the sunshine with husband Fabio and son Wolf when the man keeled over on the beach. Brave Fabio rushed to perform CPR on the man while Lottie phoned emergency services.
However, despite the caring couple's best efforts, the man did not survive with paramedics telling them he most likely had a massive heart attack and died instantly. Lottie opened up on the horror incident on her podcast, Jen and Lottie…do Parenting, with co-host Jennifer Zamparelli.
She said: “We get there, everything was fabulous, the weather. Wolf slept on the plane, the dream. And then we went to the beach and a man dropped dead right in front of us.

“That was the start of my holiday. Basically we went down to the beach and rented an umbrella and these two sunbeds. I can’t be in the sun. The sun is not my friend.”
“And we were sitting there with our little cocktails and Wolf was playing in the sand. There was a man walking by us along the shoreline and he just fell to the ground."
Lottie initially thought the man had simply fainted but quickly realised the situation was more serious. She said: “I saw Fabio push him over and he’s starting to give him CPR. I ran and got another couple of guys to come over and they started taking turns in doing CPR and we called 911.
“People walking along the beach just stopped and froze. They didn’t know what to do. I did spring into action but there was only so much I could do while holding a baby."
The radio host has vowed to do a CPR refresher course after admitting she was shaken by the "traumatic" experience.
