Lottie Ryan in holiday horror as man drops dead in front of her on beach

RTE star Lottie Ryan has revealed her shock when a man dropped dead in front of her on holidays.

The radio star was on a much-needed sunny break with her husband, Fabio and toddler son, Wolf, when the man keeled over on the beach on their first day at the beach, causing her to phone the emergency services.

Lottie’s husband rushed to perform CPR on the man, but sadly, he did not survive, with the paramedics later explaining that the man had probably had a massive heart attack and had died instantly.

Speaking to fellow radio host Jennifer Zamparelli on their joint podcast Jen and Lottie…do Parenting, Lottie said: “We get there, everything was fabulous, the weather. Wolf slept on the plane, the dream. And then we went to the beach and a man dropped dead right in front of us.

“That was the start of my holiday. Basically we went down to the beach and rented an umbrella and these two sunbeds. I can’t be in the sun. The sun is not my friend.”

“And we were sitting there with our little cocktails and Wolf was playing in the sand. There was a man walking by us along the shoreline and he just fell to the ground.

Lottie added that she initially thought the man had just fainted before realising the situation was more grave.

“I saw Fabio push him over and he’s starting to give him CPR. I ran and got another couple of guys to come over and they started taking turns in doing CPR and we called 911.

“People walking along the beach just stopped and froze. They didn’t know what to do. I did spring into action but there was only so much I could do while holding a baby.

“But I definitely want to go back and do a refresher course for CPR anyway as I saw how confident Fabio was.

Lottie added she was shaken by the experience.

"It was very traumatic.”
