A Lothian bus on a busy stretch of road in the north of the capital had its back window completely smashed out during rush hour.
The incident took place at around 5pm on Tuesday, May 2 outside the Drum Brae hub on Drum Brae Drive in the Clermiston area of the capital.
Glass could be seen strewn across the road with several officers in attendance as they responded to a ‘disturbance.’

One officer could be seen with a broom trying to clear the glass from the road and a Lothian maintenance van was also on site to help deal with the fall out.
Two officers were spotted interviewing workers from the library as well as passengers and bystanders at the bus stop.
It is believed that the damaged vehicle was a number-one bus that would have recently left the Clermiston terminus at the top of Corstorphine Hill.
It is not yet known what caused the damage to the bus but locals had reported seeing a disturbance involving youths in the area.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5pm on Tuesday, 2 May, 2023, police were called to reports of a disturbance and a bus window smashed on Drum Brae Drive, Edinburgh.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
