Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna has urged families who are attempting to return to their homes but have lost key documents to seek assistance at the family assistance center. During a Saturday morning news conference, Luna emphasized the importance of engaging with center employees for support.
Luna assured residents that every effort would be made to help them with their critical needs. He also advised individuals to refrain from returning to their homes until the areas are declared safe.

Addressing the frustration that residents may feel about not being able to access their homes, Luna stressed that safety considerations for both the residents and others in the area were paramount.
He requested patience from the community, emphasizing that allowing people to return safely to their homes was a top priority for law enforcement officials. Luna assured residents that as soon as it was deemed safe, efforts would be made to facilitate their return.
