It’s been a few months since we heard anything about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Sure, there was the Summer Games Fest reveal and massive leak a couple of months ago, but that’s about it.
According to CharlieIntel, the Los Angeles Rams have been playing an early build of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in secret. Specifically, the various multiplayer modes — and kicker Cameron Dicker allegedly uploaded several screencaps from the behind-closed-doors session onto Instagram.
The now-deleted pictures confirm that there’ll be several game types, including “DMZ mode,” which is rumored to be somewhat like Escape from Tarkov. Check it out for yourself below.

Not the best quality shot, for sure. There’s more, though! Another shows off the lobby system containing standard match types and settings like weapons loadout, operator options, barracks, and more. It appears team deathmatch is back as well — big shocker, eh?

Some of the assets in these images are from Modern Warfare (2019), but it’s likely just placeholder stuff.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is coming out on Oct. 28, 2022, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Battle.net. The new version of Warzone is coming this year, but there isn’t any release date information yet.
