The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is currently in the process of seeking legal approvals to implement a curfew in the areas surrounding the Palisades and Eaton fires. Sheriff Robert Luna announced on Thursday that the proposed curfew would be in effect from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. PT.

If approved, the curfew would be enforced by the sheriff’s department to ensure the safety and security of residents in the affected areas. The primary goal of the curfew is to prevent any potential risks or dangers that may arise due to the ongoing fires.

In the event that the curfew cannot be implemented tonight, Sheriff Luna mentioned that they will aim to put it into effect the following night. The decision to impose a curfew is part of the department's proactive measures to manage the situation and protect the community from any potential threats.

Residents and individuals in the vicinity of the Palisades and Eaton fires are advised to stay informed about the latest updates and adhere to any safety instructions provided by the authorities. The sheriff’s department will continue to monitor the situation closely and take necessary actions to ensure the well-being of the public.
