Los Angeles County Fire Chief Requests Mutual Aid For Wildfires

Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone has reached out to five neighboring counties for mutual aid in battling the ongoing wildfires in the area. The counties that have been asked to assist include Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo.

During a news conference held on Wednesday morning, Chief Marrone announced that he has requested 50 engine strike teams to aid in the firefighting efforts. These teams are composed of a total of 250 fire engines and over 1,000 personnel.

In addition to seeking help from neighboring counties, Chief Marrone has also requested resources from out of state and Northern California. This collaborative effort aims to bring in additional support and expertise to combat the wildfires that have been spreading across the region.
