Los Angeles County has extended a smoke advisory until January 12 at 10 p.m. local time as a result of the persistent wildfires in the region. The smoke emanating from the fires has led to 'unhealthy air quality' throughout the county, as stated in a recent news release.
The areas most significantly impacted by the smoke are expected to be in northwest coastal Los Angeles County, encompassing regions such as the Pacific Palisades, Altadena, Pasadena, and areas in close proximity to the fires.

Anish Mahajan, the chief deputy director of Los Angeles Public Health and chief medical officer of the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, has advised individuals to limit their time outdoors and, if necessary to venture outside, to wear an N-95 or P100 mask. These precautions are crucial in reducing the potential health risks associated with exposure to wildfire smoke.
