A suspected drug driver has been arrested after 'narrowly avoiding' a crash with a member of the public, police say.
The HGV driver was spotted by traffic police last night (June 4) 'narrowly avoiding a collision with a member of the public in Eccles', according to the Salford branch of Greater Manchester Police.
The driver was stopped and 'found to be committing tachograph offences', before failing a roadside drug test for cocaine.

The operator has also been reported, police said.
GMP Salford tweeted today (June 5): "Transport unit officers came across a HGV last night narrowly avoiding a collision with a member of the public in Eccles. Driver stopped and found to be committing tachograph offences, then failed a roadside drug test for cocaine.
"Driver arrested. Operator reported."
