Lorraine Kelly's ITV show will see a major shake up next week as the popular presenter will be absent. Ranvir Singh will instead take the Scottish presenter's place as she has a well-earned Christmas break.
The change was announced on Good Morning Britain this morning, with Ranvir's co-host on the breakfast show, Ed Balls, saying: "You are being Lorraine next week. Nobody can be Lorraine other than Lorraine. I am keeping her seat warm next week," Ranvir replied.
Lorraine may be grateful for a bit of time off, having admitted on Wednesday (Dec 14) that she accidently overslept, nearly making her late for her programme after initially waking up too early. Alongside an image of an alarm clock showing 2.03am, she tweeted: "So this is a first. Woke up - convinced I’d slept in - super fast shower - threw on clothes and then looked at time properly…"

But she later posted again, saying: "So after getting up early - I’ve managed for the FIRST time to sleep in -YIKES!!!!" Fortunately though, she did make it to the studio on time.
Ranvir has stepped in for Lorraine several times in the past, and isn't the first time she has stepped in for a telly legend. The 45-year-old has also been fronting the ITV game show Riddiculous.
The show launched last month and replaces Tenable, which had been hosted by Warwick Davis. It airs weekdays on ITV at 3pm. The series debut featured a duo from Ranvir's hometown of Preston who's quizzing knowledge helped them take home a tidy lump sum.
