Carol Vorderman was taken aback by Peter Andre's age on today's edition of Lorraine.

The former Countdown host is fronting the ITV chat show while Lorraine Kelly recovers after testing positive for coronavirus. Carol interviewed the popstar as he prepares to celebrate 30 years in showbiz.

The singer released his self-titled debut album in 1993 and has gone on to forge an impressive career in the industry. It is not the only milestone Peter is celebrating as he is turning 50 next year.

Carol was in disbelief at the Mysterious Girl hitmaker's age as she swooned over his appearance. She said: "You're gonna be turning 50 next year, which you're not allowed to do.

"We were doing a quick straw poll on how old you actually look. I've taken the mean average and it's 34.

"You're an amazing man. You could be a contestant on Love Island."

Peter was grateful after Carol's remark and returned the compliment . He said: "I will take that. Wow, but you can't talk".
