Lorraine Kelly was wowed by Simon Calder's travel hack.
The Scottish presenter returned to front Tuesday's edition of her self-titled chat show. She was joined by the travel expert as the countdown to the summer holidays begin.
People across the UK will be eagerly plotting their summer getaway as we move into spring. Lorraine quizzed Simon on how people can save money on their summer trips this year.

The expert said it is more expensive for families and people who work in education as the price of holidays shoots up during the school half term. However, Simon provided some handy advice for families on Merseyside.
He first explained how those in Scotland can take advantage of the different school half term periods in England. Simon suggested families could cross the border for their flight and should travel at the start of the Scottish half term. He said: "It's still school term in Northern England for another 2/3 weeks and I actually priced one up. A standard package holiday to the Balearics you are saving about £1,000 for a family of four."
Simon said the trick can be reversed for families in the North of England as Scottish schools return to term two weeks before those in England do. He said: "If you're in Northern England, you can reverse it in the last two weeks of August. Go to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Prestwick get a flight from there and you'll be saving money."
Lorraine was wowed by the hack and praised it as genius. She said: "I've never thought about that."
