Lorraine Kelly throws serious shade at Jennifer Arcuri for 'pointless' ITV Good Morning Britain interview

Lorraine Kelly is known for being really nice to, well, almost everyone.

But when she does have something to say, she certainly isn’t afraid to speak her mind - with quite scathing results (Esther McVey anyone?)

Today the Scottish host’s feathers were ruffled by Jennifer Arcuri - the woman at the centre of the Boris Johnson “affair”.

The American businesswoman and former colleague of the prime minister was on Good Morning Britain today to "clear the air".

But Ms Arcuri was given a swift dressing down by the Lorraine host who branded her appearance on the ITV show “pointless” after swerving questions directed at her by hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.

Lorraine spoke her mind during the link up segment which previews her own programme - leading to a split screen being broadcast as the pair had a live altercation.

She said: “That was crazy, wasn’t it? What’s the point? Coming down and not answering any questions. What’s the point in that?”

“It just doesn’t make any sense. What’s the point in you coming down and not saying anything?”

Looking confused, Jennifer asked "I'm sorry?" to which Lorraine made herself very clear.

“What’s the point in you coming on the TV to clear the air and then you don’t say anything?” the 59-year-old asked.

Ms Arcuri replied by saying she “believes she said a few things” and asked Lorraine what she was looking for her to say.

Lorraine hit back: “You didn’t answer any of the questions that were put to you and I don’t see the point in you coming on, to be honest.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
