Lorraine Kelly's fans sent their support after she tweeted her mum was taken to hospital.
Anne, 80, was taken to a hospital in her hometown of East Kilbride, the same area Lorraine grew up in. After her mum was seen to, Lorraine sent a message of thanks to the staff at University Hospital Monklands for their hard work with a specific appreciation for Dr Jack Fairweather.
Dr Fairweather is a kidney specialist at the Lanarkshire hospital and appears to have taken care of her mum directly. Tweeting the staff, Lorraine said: "Huge thanks to @JAFairweather and all at @UHMonklands who are taking such good care of my wee mum.
