Lorraine Kelly shouts 'I'm a jobby' as she takes part in Race For Life to honour Deborah James

Lorraine Kelly dressed up as a poo and shouted 'I'm a jobby' as she took part in Race for Life to raise money for Dame Deborah James.

Talking to her ITV show on Thursday morning, Lorraine, 63, shared clips of her and her team taking part in the 5K race to raise money and awareness for Bowel Babe. On her Instagram page, Lorraine added that 'only Dame Deborah' could get her out and about dressed up as a poo.

She wrote: "This year Dame Deborah is not with us, she was here last year. She couldn't actually do the race as she wasn't well enough but she's very much here in spirit cheering us along.

"It's important for us to be here to remember her legacy and to celebrate an amazing woman."

Cameras followed Lorraine as she took part in the race, she said: "Obviously we are running, and walking, for Deborah so we had to make the effort. She's the only woman in the world who could get us dressed up as a giant poo."

Standing alongside her team, the Scots presenter shouted: "I am a jobby! Are we ready?," before setting off on the 5k.

"She looked amazing in it, I look ridiculous but I don't care," Lorraine quipped as she paid tribute to the times where Dame Deborah dressed up in the poo emoji costume.

It's approaching the one year anniversary of Deborah's death as she passed away last June after a five year battle with stage 4 bowel cancer. Deborah had been fighting stage 4 bowel cancer since December 2016 and had documented her fight on social media – having inspired millions of fans.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on STV.
