Lorraine Kelly shares what was inside 'suspicious package' that evacuated ITV studios

Lorraine Kelly was "frightened" after being the subject of a security threat at ITV's studios last week.

The Scottish TV host was sent a 'suspicious package' on Thursday which caused live episodes of This Morning and Loose Women to be pulled off air as the building was evacuated. It has since been revealed by Lorraine that she was partly at blame for the scare and she has shared what was actually inside the mysterious package.

Police arrived to the building, which is based in West London, after the package had been scanned, and conducted an investigation into the item. Lorraine has since thanked the security team at ITV for keeping her and her co-workers safe.

On Friday, Lorraine acted like the incident didn't bother her at all. She spoke to hosts Ben Shepherd and Kate Garraway in a short clip on Good Morning Britain about what really went on, while revealing what had been sent to her.

Ben said: "Just quickly, were you responsible for the evacuation? Was it a pair of suspicious underwear or something?"

Lorraine replied: "Apparently, I am told, someone from a film company sent me a present and it had a battery in it. When they X-rayed it, it looked a little bit suspicious but it was all fine and dandy and it's ok."

At the time, Lorraine downplayed the incident but is has since been revealed that she was actually frightened by the event.

A source has told OK! that the 62-year-old actually felt "very scared and worried". They said: "Lorraine was initially very scared and worried. There are so many nutters around and after her seeing Christine Lampard had a stalker and other presenters getting targeted, she thought this was very frightening."

They added: "ITV acted really quickly and security is so tight there, she wants to downplay it for her viewers but doesn’t want a repeat of this. She was obviously very shaken up but is so thankful for the security."
