Lorraine Kelly has issued a very public response to speculation she's signed up for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing, joking that fans are more likely to see her on Love Island.
After loads of rumours on which celebs might be foxtrotting into the BBC ballroom for the new series, the first few contestants have now been confirmed. First out of the bag on Thursday were Will Mellor and Kym Marsh and they have since being joined on the Strictly line-up by Richie Anderson, Kaye Adams, Jayde Adams and Ellie Simmonds.
ITV legend Lorraine has seen her name linked to Strictly pretty much every year and this year she spoke out to deny she'll be doing it. Lorraine quoted an article claimed she'd been tipped to appear on Strictly 2022 and wasted no time in shutting the reports down, tweeting: "Aye right! - I love Strictly but there’s more chance of me being a contestant on Love Island."

Despite her reluctance to do Strictly, many of her fans willed her to reconsider. One replied: "That's such a shame, you'd be fantastic, break that morning telly v strictly curse," with another reacting: "You should give it a twirl Lorraine you may surprise yourself."
Others were quick to jump on Lorraine's Love Island quip, with one of the veteran presenter's followers telling her: "I'd 100% try and couple up with you Lorraine" and another commenting: "But only if they move Love Island to Orkney?"
A number of Lorraine's ITV daytime colleagues have appeared on Strictly to date, including Charlotte Hawkins, Kate Garraway, Susanna Reid and Ranvir Singh.
