Lorraine Kelly has taken to social media in a heartfelt tribute to her colleagues at ITV, admitting that not many people can say they "LOVE going to work."
The Scottish television presenter took to Twitter on Thursday, as she wrote: "Big thanks to my top team for really fun, uplifting, happy shows - not many of us LOVE going to work and all of the production team and crew make every morning a joy! Don’t get the chance to say it often enough," sharing a red heart on the post.
People rushed to the post to praise the 63-year-old for sharing some positive news, which comes amid the drama surrounding Phillip Schofield and his shock exit from This Morning after 21 years of presenting with his co-star Holly Willoughby.
One person wrote: "nice to read something so positive, I agree. 9/10 days i like my job & i consider myself lucky," whilst someone else added: "Such a great show, makes me smile x"
But not everyone was impressed, with one person responding : "If they are so wonderful, why wait until now to thank them? You have the chance to do so every week. Interesting........"
"Is that a dig at another ITV morning show that’s been in the headlines?," quipped another.
ITV was rocked just a day later by Phillip Schofield's shocking statement that he had an affair with a "much younger" ITV colleague which he hid from bosses, friends and family.
The presenting icon previously denied the allegations. He has since confirmed the news and has been let go by his agent. Phillip stressed his actions were "unwise, but not illegal."
He admitted engaging in an affair with the man he met when he was just a teenager, insisting nothing romantic happened between them until he turned 18 according to reports in the Mirror.
In a statement shared with the media, Phillip said: "I am deeply sorry for having lied to them, and to many others about a relationship that I had with someone working on This Morning.
"I did have a consensual on-off relationship with a younger male colleague at This Morning."
