Lorraine Kelly has missed a third day of her show after being sent home by TV bosses.
The TV presenter fell ill on Wednesday just minutes before her ITV morning show was due to be aired and she was absent from Thursday's programme too as her co-star was forced to step in once again. As they crossed over to her show on Friday, Lorraine was nowhere to be seen and Ranvir Singh replaced her to front the programme.
Lorraine confirmed on Wednesday she had got up for work as normal before being attacked by a "hideous bug" and was unable to carry on with her show, as bosses urged her to go home and rest.
Today, Ranvir fronted the show amid Lorraine's third day of absence, promising some exciting things coming up on the show.
On Wednesday, Good Morning Britain presenters Kate Garraway and Ed Balls were expecting to cross over to Lorraine but no one was there, and they confirmed Lorraine was sent home after feeling unwell.
They said it was the first time in a long time, maybe ever, that Lorraine had missed a show because she was ill. The TV presenter took to Twitter to confirm she was sick before "suddenly being attacked" by an unknown illness.
"When you have to be sent home from work early in the morning because you are suddenly attacked by a hideous bug and were looking forward to interviewing @adamlambert THAT! Beyond disappointed but imagine if I had infected him," she wrote on Twitter.
Her replacement Ranvir Singh wished Lorraine well, before revealing that she got a sudden call from bosses that morning before rushing in to take the show, adding: "I got a call from the editor at 7.18 and I was on the train at 7.30."
It comes only a few weeks after Lorraine nearly missed her show for the first time after an alarm clock blunder.
Having made it to her show that day, she explained: "I don't know what happened to me. I woke up at two o'clock in the morning but I thought I was late. Maybe I need glasses. But I got up, got ready and wondered whilst all the clocks were at 2. I thought something was wrong with the clocks. I must have just been in a really deep sleep and then started panicking."
