Lorraine Kelly makes subtle dig at Prince Andrew as disgraced royal 'made homeless'

Scottish television host Lorraine Kelly made a sarcastic jibe at disgraced royal Prince Andrew during her ITV show this morning.

On Monday morning, royal expert Russell Myers joined the Scottish presenter on her ITV programme, Lorraine, to discuss the possibility that Andrew could be made homeless. Andrew is potentially being kicked out of the Royal Family home, as King Charles slashes his income - in a bid to "modernise" the monarchy.

Lorraine introduced the segment by saying that Prince Andrew could be “following in the footsteps” of Harry and Meghan by moving to America. Lorraine then quipped: “Hasn’t America suffered enough?”

Then during the segment, Lorraine spoke to royal expert Russell Myers, as she said: “We were discussing Andrew, who potentially could be homeless?”

Russell said: “Yes, well the heart bleeds - said no one ever! But it’s an interesting story though, because this is all part of King Charles shaping his legacy.

“It's all about what he wants the future to look like, and we’ve already had visions of a slimmed-down monarchy - we’ve had the family being pushed to the front and centre of this vision.

“The family that is William and Kate, their children, they are going to be the future.

"However, all the minor royals, including the ones who have stepped back and been elbowed out the way, such as Prince Andrew, have a very different role to play.”

Lorraine resumes on Tuesday, February 21 at 9am. The popular show also airs each weekday at the same time.
