Lorraine Kelly took a subtle swipe at Adele on her show on Wednesday after the hitmaker performed at the BRITs in the wake of her postponed Las Vegas residency.
Adele won three out the four main prizes at the Brit Awards on Tuesday, where she also put in a glitzy performance of her track I Drink Wine.
The 33-year-old belted the track from atop a piano in a sparkling gold gown, and a clip of the performance was played at the beginning of today’s Lorraine episode.
The 62-year-old presenter discussed the Awards with showbiz correspondent Ria Hebden and fashion guru Mark Hayes.
Lorraine said of Adele’s performance: “She should have just done that in Vegas. She looked comfortable. That's all people want.”
Lorraine's comments come after Adele pulled the plug on her Las Vegas residency last month with just 24 hours notice
Adele was in tears as she announced she had to reschedule the start of her Las Vegas residency because of Covid-19.
“We've been up against so much and it just ain't ready. I'm so sorry,” the star said on social media.
“We've tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you.
“But we've been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid.
“Half my team, half my crew are hit by Covid. They still are and it's been impossible to finish the show.
“I'm gutted. I'm gutted and I'm sorry it's so last minute.”
Adele had been scheduled to do two concerts each weekend from 21 January until 16 April in the US city.
Adele was due to join the likes of Celine Dion, Sir Elton John, Madonna, Mariah Carey and Rod Stewart at the famous Colosseum theatre, which has 4,300 seats - but has said all dates will be rescheduled.
Adele was silenced by ITV bosses during The BRIT Awards on Tuesday night as she made one of her speeches on stage during her successful evening at the swanky awards.
During her second acceptance speech of the night, the multi-award winning star paid tribute to fellow nominee Little Simz, who had just collected the gong for Best New Artist.
But as Adele offered her thoughts on the talented rapper, ITV bosses hit mute as the global mega star appeared to drop some expletives.
"I've got to much love for you I think you're absolutely..." Adele gushed, before the sound cut off for a few seconds.
