Lorraine Kelly revealed she lost a stone in 1.5 months after she went from a size 10 to a 14 during the coronavirus lockdown.

The TV presenter, 62, gained weight after she turned to comfort eating during the peak of the pandemic.

She took to her Instagram page to share a snap of her holding a congratulatory Weight Watchers card to mark the milestone.

Lorraine took the selfie with Celebrity Ambassador Coach Suzy Stirling, who also shared snaps of it to her page.

She previously opened up about her weight gain as well as her journey to lose it again.

"During the pandemic, I started comfort eating and that was my downfall – comfort eating and not being able to go to my fitness classes," she said.

"When those classes stopped I started eating far too much – it was things that I would probably never bother with. Like I wanted muffins, I wanted croissants, I wanted doughnuts.

"All of these things that you know you shouldn’t be having and you think it’s making you feel better at the time and it doesn’t. And so slowly, slowly, slowly over the past couple of years, I’ve gone from a size 10 to a size 14…"

She realised she gained weight when she tried on one of her go-to red dresses and realised she no longer fit into it.

"I looked absolutely fine, but I didn’t feel fine," she said of having to wear a different dress.
