Rumours that Meghan Markle could be reviving her lifestyle blog has sent a wave of excitement through the Duchess of Sussex's fans, but some aren't too thrilled about the prospect of its return.
Among those who aren't too keen include Lorraine Kelly, who sat down with the Mirror's Russell Myers to discuss the speculation surrounding Meghan's return to the blog.
Prior to marrying Prince Harry, Meghan ran a blog called The Tig - something that she is reportedly thinking of reviving.
Lorraine said: "Now before she met Harry, she had her own lifestyle blog and there is talk of that may be coming back."
Russell pointed out: "There is, and it's interesting because before they were the king and queen of Instagram, with millions and millions of followers, she had a very popular lifestyle blog called The Tig and this was named after her favourite wine.
"It was all about beauty tips and recipes and her thoughts on recipes and whatnot, but it was put to the wayside after she became a member of the Royal Family and then there's potential that she's unearthing it."
He went on to say to Lorraine that it could be another "string added to their bow", she responded: "I hope not."
Meghan shut the blog down months before becoming engaged to Prince Harry in 2017.
The former Hollywood actor, 40, described the site as a "passion project" which eventually "evolved into an amazing community of inspiration, support, fun and frivolity".
LA lawyer Marjorie Witter Norman filed a new application to trademark the name in July last year, according to legal records, reports the Daily Mail.
It was filed under a Delaware-based holding company called Frim Fram Inc, linked to Meghan's business manager Andrew Meyer.
A similar application filed in 2019 expired last year.
Her reps said at the time: "The lasting trademark is to prevent false branding, to avoid others purporting to be the Duchess or affiliated with her."
The Tig's most popular post was entitled "How To Be Both", in which Meghan offered her candid thoughts on how to juggle "celebrity life" with "giving back" and doing her "day job".
The 2,000-word piece was published in October 2016, months after starting her relationship with Harry.
