Lorraine Kelly was left apologising for any 'damage inflicted' after being altered to an unfortunate blunder involving her and Kate Garraway. Before Lorraine returned to her self-titled ITV show on Thursday (March 2), she appeared on Good Morning Britain to tease what was to come on the programme.
But before that, the news programme's hosts Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid decided to have a bit of fun at Kate's expense. As she read the latest news headlines on the penultimate show of the week, the 55-year-old caught their attention as she donned a vibrant green jumpsuit for her latest TV appearance.
The pair got Kate to stand up and show off her attire and due to the colour, with the help of some TV trickery, those in production were able to change her outfit to any colour they wanted, turning it red, blue and purple before projecting a live image of Lorraine onto Kate's outfit.
As Kate laughed at her 'new outfit', GMB viewers were quick to flock to social media as due to Lorraine's choice of blue low-cut top, her cleavage lined up with Kate’s groin, creating a certain kind of illusion neither Kate or Lorraine will have been hoping for.
But while neither of them noticed, those tuning into the show were soon letting them know. @paula07856350 said: "@GMB please look back at Lorraine on Kate … not sure the cleavage was in the right place," alongside a string of crying laughing emojis. @oddjob_07 laughed: "Thought I could see Kate’s camel toe when Lorraine popped up."
@EmSmith_93 then tweeted: "Not sure @GMB thought this one through @reallorraine cleavage projected onto @kategarraway #itv #gmb," alongside an image of the moment in question.
And it clearly caught Lorraine's eye as the 63-year-old was soon re-sharing the image onto her own profile and issued a hilarious apology. "OMFG – I can only apologise profusely for the damage inflicted!!" she typed. Once again, the comments came flooding in with plenty of crying laughing emojis being posted.
