Lorraine Kelly issued a glowing verdict on Liverpool after Sam Ryder shared a special moment.
Eurovision fever has gripped Merseyside as the international song contest has taken over the region. Sam is one of Eurovision's major stars as hit Spaceman finished in second place last year and led to the UK hosting the festival on behalf of Ukraine.
The 33-year-old has been performing surprise gigs in Liverpool as he wowed a crowd at the Cavern Club earlier this week. He appeared on today's edition of Lorraine and reflected on his impromptu performance on the Docks yesterday.

Sam was amazed at the response as thousands turned up to watch him perform his new hit, Mountains. He said: "Liverpool, Lorraine, they are smashing it. It is absolute scenes wherever you go."
The Scottish presenter agreed as she said: "It's the place to be." Sam heaped praise on the city during an appearance on This Morning this week.
He said: "There's a buzz. You can really feel it in Liverpool. People coming together around this thing that's meant to bring you together. It was never meant to cause arguments or be political."
Sam told the presenters how the community spirit in Liverpool is a true representation of Eurovision and explained this shows why Eurovision should no longer be referred to as a contest. He said: "Across Europe, they call it the song festival. I think it's such a more fitting name. It feels like a carnival, like a festival when you're here. It takes the teeth out of that aspect of it.
"Let's be real, the element of the scoreboard is for entertainment purposes only. You can't score music. You can't score Bob Dylan against The Beatles, Iron Maiden or Whitney Houston. It's expression and you can't score that"
