Lorraine Kelly has defended King Charles III over his awkward pen blunder, quipping that she would be "effing and blinding".
Charles was left irked on Tuesday after it got in the way of a signing ceremony he was undertaking in Belfast.
His Majesty was invited to sign a visitors' book in front of cameras at Hillsborough Castle - but he ran into difficulties as the pen he was using leaked over his hand.
Speaking in frustration as he handed the pen to his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, he said: "Oh god I hate this [pen]!", to which Camilla responded: "Oh look, it's going everywhere."
Referring to the moment on the show this morning, Lorraine told the Mirror's royal editor Russell Myers: "I feel like I wasn’t really meant to see that. I don’t know who was filming it?
"‘I think he was remarkably restrained actually I would have been effing and blinding."
