Lorraine apologises for 'damage' done with Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway prank

Lorraine Kelly jokingly apologised after a prank on Good Morning Britain "inflicted damage".

The unfortunate blunder, which involved GMB host Kate Garraway, came about as co-hosts Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid decided to have a bit of fun at Kate's expense. They noticed that she was wearing an all-green jumpsuit as they got her to stand up and show it off properly.

Her outfit acted as a green screen meaning that the crew in the ITV show's production room were able to change what she was wearing at the click of a button. They had fun turning it red, blue and purple before projecting a live image of Lorraine onto Kate's outfit.

Kate thought it was hilarious and laughed along, not knowing the image it projected to viewers at home. As the images lined up, they created an unfortunate illusion fans flocked to Twitter to let her know.

Paula said: "@GMB please look back at Lorraine on Kate … not sure the cleavage was in the right place." Another added: "Not sure @GMB thought this one through @reallorraine cleavage projected onto @kategarraway #itv #gmb," alongside an image of the incident.

Lorraine, 63, was mortified as she replied to the fan. She wrote: "OMFG - I can only apologise profusely for the damage inflicted !!"

But rather than be offended, fans thought the moment was hilarious. Plenty replied with crying laughing emojis while others stated how funny they found it.

Sarah said: "Hahahaha I didn't even notice lol xx" Richard said: "That’s brilliant!" Meanwhile, Julie said: "I saw that this morning and had a chuckle wondering which social media platform it would end up on!!! Lol".
