Loreburn Primary kids to go on first ever school trip thanks to generous business

Youngsters at Loreburn Primary will be able to go on their first ever school trip thanks to a generous business.

The primary one, two and three pupils haven’t been on a trip outwith walking distance due to Covid.

With things returning to normal, staff had been hoping to organise a trip for the youngsters but it was proving quite expensive and they were keen to make it affordable due to the cost of living crisis.

They planned to ask local businesses to sponsor a child to help reduce the cost – but were absolutely overwhelmed when Stealth Competitions offered to pay the entire cost of the trip.

The company donated £863 to pay for an outing to Mabie Farm Park in June and the families, pupils and staff are beyond grateful for their support.

The P1-3 pupils created thank you cards.

One read: “I’ve never been to Mabie Farm Park before because my mummy doesn’t have enough pennies, it’s a dream! Thank you so much.”
