ITV’s flagship daytime talk show, Loose Women, is set to broaden its horizons by launching an all-new podcast, Loose Women: The Podcast, scheduled to debut this March. The exciting news was unveiled during the show’s latest episode, where panelist Kaye Adams informed the audience that the podcast will officially kick off on Tuesday, March 4.
Kaye Adams expressed her enthusiasm for this innovative venture. “After more than 25 years on your TV screens, we’re getting even looser. As if that was possible,” Adams said to the audience. This remark underlines the show’s continued commitment to pushing boundaries while maintaining the warmth and candidness that fans have come to expect over its long history.
Adams explained that the inspiration for this new format was partly drawn from the successful Talkathon event, where the panelists engaged in deeper conversations thanks to having more time to chat, according to Birmingham Live.
According to the official press release, Loose Women: The Podcast will offer listeners an immersive experience by featuring various dynamic duos from the award-winning television show. The podcast promises to deliver extended commentary and conversation on an array of topics. These topics will span from current affairs and entertainment to the personal experiences and behind-the-scenes insights of the women on the show.
“As well as taking a deep dive on the topics close to their hearts, viewers will also be able to directly ask the questions that they’ve always wanted to know about the show and the women themselves.” This interactive component is designed to give the audience a more active role in the conversation, making them feel like a vital part of the dialogue.
Jane Moore, another well-known panelist, emphasized the interactive nature of the upcoming podcast. “It’s not just us, you guys can ask us anything,” she confirmed. “So, you can send in questions and we’ll answer them, kind of… To the best of our ability! So, it’ll be really interactive and involve all the listeners.” Moore’s comments suggest that the podcast will serve not only as a platform for in-depth discussion but also as an open forum where the public can engage directly with the panelists.
Adding to the excitement, Nadia Sawahla offered her perspective on what listeners might expect. “It’s going to be really behind-the-scenes… That backstage stuff which I always think is really interesting on other shows,” she stated, followed by, “Over the years, we always leave the stage and chat on and on.” Her insights hint at a more relaxed, informal tone that will likely appeal to long-time fans of the show.
In closing remarks during the announcement, Adams summarized the new format perfectly: “It’s the right word I think, intimate, and as you say, you can watch it but for a lot of people, it’s in your ears.” Loose Women continues to broadcast on weekdays at 12.30 pm on ITV1 and is also available for streaming on ITVX, ensuring that fans can access their favorite content across multiple platforms.
