Loose Women stars have denied any reports of a feud, and insisted they have ‘genuine camaraderie’ on and off screen.
Charlene White, Jane Moore, Nadia Sawalha and Katie Piper, who are just a handful of the co-hosts on the ITV daytime show, said the women are “incredibly supportive” and they even have their own WhatsApp group chat.
During an interview with OK! magazine to celebrate International Women’s Day, they explained what it was like being part of the iconic presenting line-up, and dismissed any rumours of a rift between them.
Newcomer Charlene said one of the biggest misconceptions about the show was the “nonsense stories” about their relationships.
“You have an impression of what it’s going to be like. Then you walk into this amazing group of women and realise that everyone’s incredibly supportive,” she said.
“You’ve got intelligent women who love this programme and only ever want the best for it and are there for you,” Charlene added, admitting she feels “really blessed” to be part of the Loose Women “clan”.
“We have a WhatsApp group and even when you’re not on the show, it’s going off,” Katie, 38, tells us. “It’s a genuine camaraderie.”
Jane, who was one of the original hosts on the Loose Women line-up when it began in 1999, said while their debates can get “a bit fiery”, they’ve never fallen out, and slammed reports of rifts on set.
“I have an issue when people say, ‘Jane Moore and Nadia Sawalha cat fight on Loose Women.’ They never do it about two blokes on a news programme and it’s so lame. It’s like, come on, let’s move on, we’re not in the 1950s any more,” she fired.
Jane said the women “take it in our stride and get on with it,” and former actress Nadia described their relationship as “a microwave friendship” because they get to know each other quickly and intensely.
