Loose Women’s Linda Robson says she’s never undressed in front of her husband of over 30 years

Loose Women ’s Linda Robson left her fellow panellists surprised after revealing that she has never undressed in front of her husband, despite being married for over three decades.

Appearing on the ITV show on Tuesday alongside Janet Street Porter, Coleen Nolan and Jane Moore, the 64-year-old star explained that she will always go into the bathroom to get changed. Linda admitted that the habit was due to low self-esteem, The Mirror reports .

In a segment exploring the question of whether intimacy is better in later life, Linda opened up about her situation at home with husband Mark, who she married in 1990. “I find it quite difficult to - I’ve never undressed in front of my husband,” she said.

“I think it’s because my mum is Catholic Irish, so we never saw my mum undress,” she then explained. “She’d always go into the bathroom to get undressed.

“So when I’m putting my pyjamas on, I’m going into the bathroom to put my pyjamas on. The kids have seen me undressed, but my husband - or partner that I’ve had in the past - has never seen me.”

After being asked why this was the case, Linda admitted: “It’s just because of low self-esteem, I think. And I think, as you get older, our bodies change much more than men’s bodies change - our shapes change, our hormones change…”

Janet Street-Porter cut across her to say: “I’m not allowing that. Linda, you’ve got a great body - there’s nothing wrong with your body.” The audience broke into supportive cheers at the comment.

Coleen also spoke about her sex life, admitting that she didn’t believe she would ever be intimate with someone again after being single for a number of years because she was “too embarrassed” to be naked and suffered from low esteem.

“Then I did, and it was fabulous,” she said. “I’ve got a different mindset, I go ‘this is it, take it or leave it’ - luckily they’re taking it... and leaving it sometimes!”
