Kaye Adams marked her 60th year by getting her first tattoo over the weekend.

The Loose Women presenter filmed herself being inked for the first time after reaching her milestone 60th birthday at the end of last month.

Adams was seen beaming in a clip posted on her Instagram page as she visited a tattoo parlour in her hometown of Glasgow, Scotland, to get a tattoo on her forearm.

The ITV host was revealed to have the words ‘Over twenty one’ inked in cursive, in tribute to her late mother.

Besides the clip shared, Adams wrote: “I only went and did it!

“I teased I was going on the How To Be 60 podcast and I know most of you thought I wouldn’t do it (to be fair so did I last night!) but I’m so glad I did.

“My mum will be up there rolling her eyes but I think deep down she’d be a little bit proud too!”

The TV panellist continued: “I’ll be talking more about the whole experience in an upcoming podcast but for now I just wanted to say a massive thank you @waywardwomantattoos at @blackdottattoo for being so kind and gentle with me.

“Honestly it felt more like going to a beauty therapist than a tattoo studio!”

Adams previously shared the significance behind her planned tattoo on her How to be 60 podcast, as she said her mother didn’t like to disclose her age.

Last year, the presenter said she created the podcast ahead of her milestone birthday, in a bid to confront her fears on reaching the age of 60, having likely adopted her mother’s reluctance to grow older.

After sharing her plans to have her first tattoo on Loose Women last week, fellow panellist Carol McGiffin told Adams she was having a “midlife crisis”.

Fans disagreed however, following Adams’ video of her getting inked.

One person commented: “Good for you Kaye. I got a little robin tattooed on my wrist in memory of my dear mum who passed away in 2010. It is a comfort to me.”

A second said: “I’m thinking of doing this for my 60th too... you’ve inspired me!! X

A third added: “Yayyyyyy had my first at 61 also to remember my mum.”
