Tattoos can have lots of different meanings and Loose Women presenter Kaye Adams has dedicated her first ever tattoo at the age of 60 to her mum.
Posting to her Instagram Kaye admitted she wasn't sure if she was going to go through with the tattoo but is "so glad" she did. Kaye posted videos of her getting the tattoo and explained its meaning in the comments.
She said: "I only went and did it! I teased I was going on the How To Be 60 podcast and I know most of you thought I wouldn't do it (to be fair so did I last night!) but I'm so glad I did. My mum will be up there rolling her eyes at it but I think deep down she'd be a little bit proud too!"
Kaye went on to say the experience "felt more like going to a beauty therapist than a tattoo studio!" The tattoo reads "over twenty one" as her mum would never tell anyone her age and would simply say she was over 21.
The Loose Women presenter also told other fans in the comments that the tattoo did not hurt. Kaye's mum Cathie passed away in 2018 after she became suddenly ill. You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.
Posting on Twitter at the time of mum's death, Kaye said: "We are forever indebted to the wonderful staff of Ward A22 @NHSForthValley who cared for our mum Cathie before she passed away on July 29th. They gave us comfort at a time of desolation and, for that, we are grateful."
In December 2022 Kaye celebrated her 60th birthday and set herself some goals and life-changing decisions for life in her 60s. The TV presenter said she wants to "spend less time climbing and more time growing".
