Kaye Adams was quick to admit that the lead up to Friday's Loose Women was every so slightly 'chaotic',' when she was left clueless as to what was going on, as she and her colleagues prepared to broadcast live to the nation.
Following her brief hiatus from the show towards the end of last year as she took part in the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing, former news journalist Kaye has been a regular at the head of the Loose Women panel once again for the first few months of 2023. And she was back to run the show again as it aired its final episode of this week, having been 'culled' by ITV for nearly a full week earlier this month to allow live coverage of Cheltenham horse racing to air.
ITV viewers typically get a really flavour of what to expect from each new episode of Loose Women, when a preview is given towards the end of This Morning. However, as hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary cut to the studio next door, Kaye was far from prepared to greet them.

Looking flustered, she remarked: "Well listen, there's lots coming on today, but I've no idea what it is, as I only sat my derrière on this seat 20 seconds ago!"
The presenter flung her arms up in the air and exclaimed: "What's happening?!" Fortunately, Loose Women colleague Jane Moore filled the gap by interrupting: "I have a question for you. Have I got a trustworthy face?"
Keeping the live link going, Kaye quipped: "Don't answer, she'll only be offended!"
Kaye got things back on track in time to deliver a second teaser right at the end of This Morning, before Alison revealed her own big news, that she'd be hosting the show on Monday.
