Jane Moore was 'missing' from the panel of Loose Women on Thursday, minutes before the show was about to broadcast live to the nation, before her late arrival baffled ITV colleagues.
Journalist Jane made her debut on Loose Women over 20 years ago, when the ITV lunchtime discussion show made its debut. After a a stint as regular panellist, Jane then quit the show, before making a return 11 years later. As well being a long serving member of the panel, Jane has also been handed the opportunity to be host on numerous occasions over the last year, but, as she was due to make her first appearance on Loose Women this week, Jane was nowhere to be seen.
Viewers got a first look at what to expect from Thursday's Loose Women towards the end of This Morning, when presenters Holly Willoughby and Dermot O'Leary crossed live to their ITV neighbour, to be greeted by host Charlene White. The Loose Women presenters are typically joined by three co-stars for every edition of the show, but Jane was missing in action as only Kelly Holmes and Linda Robson joined Charlene on set.

None of them acknowledged Jane's absence until right at the end of the live link, when the camera panned away from Charlene, Linda and Kelly and onto a darkened part of the set, with the figure in focus turning out to be Jane, as it then became apparent that she was replicating Cindy Beale's bombshell to return to EastEnders, which caused a TV frenzy on Wednesday night.
Ian Beale's scheming ex wife came back 'from the dead' in the final scene of the highly anticipated episode, being revealed as the 'missing' Rose Knight, the wife of Albert Square newcomer George. However, while millions tuned into watch Cindy's EastEnders return and it became the top trend on Twitter, it clearly hadn't landed on Holy and Dermot's radar, as Dermot looked completely bemused by Jane's appearance and remarked; 2that leaves more questions than answers," before the penny dropped as Charlene mentioned Cindy and he mimicked the famous 'duff duff duff duffs' of the soap's theme tune.
Cindy's dramatic comeback to EastEnders became a hot topic on Loose Women, as Jane took her seat on the panel, with Charlene likening to Jane's own unexpected come back to the long-running programme.
