Loose Women's Frankie Bridge 'can't accept' the way she looks now

Loose Women's Frankie bridge opened up about her struggles with body positivity and acceptance.

The Loose Women panel discussed the topic of body confidence today - something Frankie Bridge admitted to struggling with all her life. A poll revealed eight in ten women don't feel comfortable seeing themselves in the mirror naked which led The Saturdays star to open up about her own insecurities.

She said: "For me, there's always been such pressure of what my body looks like at such young age. A lot of that pressure has come from me to live up to what I think people's expectations of me are and especially since having kids, I find it really hard that I don't look the same anymore.

"I know that I shouldn't be and I know body positivity is such a big thing now but I'm not there yet. I want to be able to look at my body and think my body is great."

Panel regular, Charlene White, asked if Frankie had these thoughts during her time in The Saturdays which she confirmed. She said she has always struggled with body positivity, especially from a young age, and those feelings have never gone away. Frankie added: "Yeah, even in primary school there was always an onus on how I looked and I remember my friends commenting on my clothes and I took that on quite early.

"But I look at my body and see all the places it's gone wrong and I look at my skin and my stretch marks... I'd never look at anyone else that way but I dread getting older because of how I feel."

The panel comforted Frankie and admitted all of them have had their fair share of body struggles. Jane Moore urged Frankie, and viewers, to love the skin their in by offering a different perspective on the topic.

She said: "Nadia [Sawalha] was very body conscious but the turning point was the day we did Body Stories. It really changed her attitude toward her body. I don't overthink it, I have friends who died early in life and I look at my body and I'm healthy and think thank you."
