Denise Welsh got a rather startling warning from Loose Women co-star Linda Robson, after she admitted she found having decorations up after Christmas Day 'a bit depressing.'
Just like fellow ITV shows Good Morning Britain, Lorraine and This Morning, Loose Women has made a return to screens after a brief break for Christmas, although it was the festive season that was the big topic of discussion at the start of the latest episode on Thursday.
Taking over as host, Coleen Nolan, asked Denise, Linda and colleague Kelle Bryan, when you should take your decorations down after Christmas, with ex Eternal singer Kelle saying that her family stuck with tradition and took them down after the customary 12 days, adding: "It's sad when you take them down, because you do miss that lovely sparkle around the house."
Shaking her head in disagreement, Waterloo Road and Hollyoaks actress Denise retorted: "No, no, Bah humbug. Get them down as quick as possible!" After then being asked by Linda when she put her decorations up, Denise replied: "As late as possible," saying: "In fact, because this year we were all going to my sister's, I got away with not doing a tree at all. "
She added: "I find anything Christmassy after Christmas Day a bit depressing. I'm not superstitious, so I would happily take my tree down and have done, as soon as possible." Moaning her disapproval, Birds of a Feather star Linda admitted she was superstitious, commenting: "I would really get in a panic if I took mine down the day before."
She then turned to Denise and said: "No, it's really unlucky to do it before then. Something terrible will happen if you do it before then, you must never do it before then. Wait 'til the twelfth day," with Denise quipping: "Well, that's where I've gone wrong."
