Loose Women's Denise Welch 'forces' Jane Moore to step in as panel clash in Meghan Markle row

Denise Welch left Loose Women host Jane Moore rushing to interrupt with an urgent clarification as she took on her colleagues in an angry clash over Meghan Markle on Tuesday's show.

Denise has long been a staunch supporter of Meghan and her husband Prince Harry, regularly speaking out in support of the couple and hitting out at some of the treatment they've had in the press over their decision to move to the US.

Meghan made headlines across the world on Tuesday after she gave a tell all interview to American magazine The Cut, alleging that she and her children had been the target of racist language and she felt she and Harry upset the Royal Family hierarchy just 'by existing,'

Hours before cameras rolled on Loose Women, Denise publicly spoke out in support of Good Morning Britain host Adil Ray after he leapt to Meghan's defence live on air and she was very forthcoming with her support of Meghan and Harry as the topic of Meghan's interview was raised on the lunchtime discussion show, angrily reacting to the conflicting opinions of both presenter Jane and co-star Gloria Hunniford.

Denise said she had been of the opinion for some time that Meghan could "do no right," in the eyes of many people, despite the fact she had been an advocate for women's rights and involved with the UN, well before meeting Prince Harry. Host and journalist Jane said she took exception to Megan complaining about the press in one breath but then inviting journalists into her home the next, addressing her and Harry's explosive televised chat with Oprah Winfrey last year.

But Denise quickly tried to shoot Jane down, shouting: "They want privacy from being talked about, not talked to," which prompts groans from both Jane and Gloria as Denise protested: "They never said never said they wanted privacy from doing good things!"

Becoming more annoyed as throwing her hands up in the air, Denise addressed Jane directly and blasted: "Look at the press every single day, you guys are obsessed with tearing them down! Absolutely obsessed, every single day."

Giving her take, Gloria called out Meghan for 'fibbing' in some of her claims, but Denise fired back by accusing the Royal Family of 'telling some whoppers' over the years. Denise also said it angered her that some people who condemn Megan haven't given the same treatment to Prince Andrew, before making an explosive claim against the the Duke of York.

Denise's remark forced Jane to swiftly interrupt her, saying: "Denise, Denise, Denise....obviously we know Prince Andrew has denied everything," to which Denise retorted: "I don't care if he's denied everything," before eluding to her earlier allegation.

Before colleague Brenda Edwards could speak, Jane told her that they'd "ran out of time," as she cut to the adverts.
