Denise Welch has been put on the spot by her Loose Women colleague Charlene White, after being at the centre of a case of 'mistaken identity' thanks to a Twitter prank that fooled many people on social media.
As viewers of the ITV show and Denise's Instagram followers know, she is a regular at The 1975's gigs, getting to performances whenever she's able to, to support son Matty Healy and his bandmates. She took a girls trip to Ireland earlier this week to the group in action in Cork; but before that, she found herself at the centre of a viral online hoax, linked not just to The 1975, but also American singer Pink.
A Twitter user shared a video, carrying the caption: 'Matty Healey’s mother joined the band on stage at tonight’s The 1975 gig," with the added use of the 'siren' emoji, having people thinking this was a breaking update they needed to check out.' And, keeping the attention surrounding the tweet going, Denise herself responded: "It’s Healy and I’m still dizzy!!"

The prank was discussed right at the start of Thursday's Loose Women, with host Charlene bringing it up, as the panel watched the clip, before asking: "Denise, is that you?" as the former Coronation street and Waterloo Road actress replied: "It's Pink, but you would not believe the amount of people who thought that that was me."
Focusing on the start of the video, Charlene reacted: "It's the hair! It's absolutely uncanny," as Denise told her: "It is uncanny and it's slightly more flattering that being compared to Dame Judi Dench, even though I love her, she is 24 years older than me. It as the fact I saw people on Twitter saying: 'Go Dens, by God, you're braver than me.'
"My god! My son wouldn't even have me on the stage, let alone pirouetting through the air on a flying trapeze!
