Loose Women's Denise Welch condemns police for 'disgraceful' exposure of Nicola Bulley issues

Denise Welch has publicly criticised Lancashire Police for exposing Nicola Bulley's issues with alcohol, as the search to find the missing mum of two goes into a third week, branding their actions a " absolute disgrace."

The 45-year-old went missing from St Michael's on Wyre, Lancashire, 19 days ago - after dropping her two youngsters, aged nine and six, off at school and there has been no trace of her since, with searches of the river near to where she was walking and the area out towards Morecambe Bay finding nothing.

Her partner Paul Ansell did a sit down interview with Channel 5's Dan Walker at the end of last week as the broadcaster staged a live special called Missing: Where is Nicola Bulley.

There have been no further updates on where Nicola could be over the last few days although, on Wednesday, after it was revealed by police that Nicola was 'high risk' due to significant issues, it was then disclosed by the Force that those issues were relating to alcohol and her struggling with the menopause and that police officers had attended her home just days before her disappearance.

Lancashire's Police to go so public with Nicola's private live and how that could impact people's opinions on what could have happened to her, have been widely criticised online.

And one of the growing number of celebrities who have questioned the police's actions is Denise.. The Loose Women star and Geordie actress shared a post from therapist and This Morning contributor Emma Kenny, who reacted furiously to the police revealing to what police had done, in which she write: "To say this is HIGHLY INAPPROPRIATE is a major understatement!!! Nicola Bulley DID NOT NEED THIS PUTTING INTO THE PUBLIC DOMAIN!!!! This is a distraction from mistakes made."

Posting Emma's tweet on her own Twitter timeline, Denise added: "It's a disgrace" and her followers were quick to agree with her. One replied: "Totally agree. Absolutely disgraceful.. This personal information is nobody else's business"

Another TV personality who has hit out at the ;police over Nicola Bulley is ex This Morning star Fern Britton, who tweeted: "I am uncomfortable with the latest news suggesting that Nicola Bulley has an issue with alcohol and menopause.

"The undertone is that she maybe ‘ a bit unstable’ or perhaps even ‘not in her right mind.’ Too easy to write a woman off like this. What lies behind it?"
