Loose Women's Coleen Nolan halts ITV show for co-star Linda Robson to break big career news

Coleen Nolan brought Loose Women to a momentary 'standstill' on Wednesday, to allow her colleague Linda Robson to make a big career announcement, on a major role she's landed away from the ITV show.

After ex This Morning favourite Ruth Langsford took the reins for two days in a row, Coleen, who is usually a panellist on the ITV lunchtime programme, made the step up to be at the head of the panel, as she was joined by co-stars Kelle Bryan, Janet Street-Porter and Linda Robson.

The first Loose Women viewers knew of Coleen being host for the day was given when This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby cut to the studio next door to get an insight into what was coming on the show. Holy seemed slightly shocked, having normally been greeted by either Ruth, Kaye Adams, Christine Lampard or Charlene White, as Coleen gave a brief run through of what to expect, including a guest appearance from Strictly judge Shirley Ballas.

And it was after CHristine's interview, where she paid tribute to her Strictly predecessor Len Goodman, that Coleen declared that Linda had some big news to share with everyone, on her return to acting.

In the early 90s, Linda was one of the most recognisable stars on BRitish TV, as a star of hit BBC sitcom Birds of a Feather, alongside Pauline Quirke and Lesley Joseph.

She was also at the centre of the cst when the show was rebooted by ITV and now she is making the jump to the big screen, with Linda explaining that she was involved in new film Bermondsey Tales: Fall Of The Roman Empire., alongside The Mummy star John Hannah and EastEnders and Strictly star Maisie Smith.

Explaining more about her role, Linda revealed that she is playing a "gangster's moll" in the movie, which will also star Alan Ford from Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels and KIdulthood ADAm Deacon, with filming set to begin later this year.
