Loose Women's Coleen Nolan disgusts Brenda Edwards with 'grim' bed sheet confession

Coleen Nolan left colleague Brenda Edwards screwing her face up in disgust as she made a rather grim confession about not changing bed sheets on Tuesday's Loose Women.

Just as it did when ITV prioritised coverage of the Cheltenham Festival and Royal Ascot horse racing earlier this year, Loose Women was shortened on Tuesday as live action from Glorious Goodwood forced changes to the schedule. The lunchtime news was moved ahead half an hour, meaning the lunchtime panel show was only on for half an hour.

Kaye Adams took charge of the episode as she hosted Coleen, Brenda and fellow panellist Janet Street-Porter in the studio for the 30 minute broadcast. And, after the one and only ad break of proceedings, talk turned to how often the ladies change the sheets in their spare rooms.

As the tag line 'Do you change the sheets for guests?' flashed up on screen, Kaye remarked: "If they've only stayed for a night and they then go...' before Coleen replied: "So, if my sister comes to stay and then the next night my friend is coming to stay, I don't change the sheets."

Kaye, clearly of the same mindset, thanked Coleen for her admission, but, further along the panel, Brenda did little to hide her horror at what she'd just heard as she frowned in disgust, prompting the show's presenter to ask: "Why you looking so horrified?"

As Janet sided with Brenda, the former X Factor star turned theatre leading lady, said: "If anyone comes to stay, as soon as they come out of that bed, change that sheet! Get that sheet! If you've only got one sheet, get that sheet in the washer and dryer the same day"

She added: "I don't want no skin cells rubbing on me, I don't care if it's a man, woman, boy or child!"

Many people watching at home backed Brenda's stance, with one tweeting: "I wouldn't want to sleep on someone's crusty, unwashed sheets!" Another reacted: "I agree Brenda. Sorry hell no, I’m not sleeping on no dribbled up pillow that somebody else has slept in. You can’t have me sleeping in sheets someone else has slept in, your stale body juice no thanks!"

A third posted: "Haaaa Brenda's face at Coleen's bedsheets washing. Same. Fresh linen for any visitor before and after."
