Coleen Nolan has hit back at claims the Loose Women panel ignored Stacey Solomon’s pregnancy news.
Fans were quick to congratulate the Loose Women star for the comments, but later viewers noticed that her co-hosts didn’t mention the good news on the ITV show.
Nolan, 57, took to Twitter on Friday to congratulate her co-star and pal before explaining that Loose Women had been recorded ahead of Christmas.
She wrote: “Another pickle already?! The Cottage is going to need an extension at this rate!
“But seriously, massive congratulations @StaceySolomon & @realjoeswash. Couldn’t be happier for you both.”
In a follow-up post, she added: “PS, to everyone who’s tweeted in wondering why it wasn’t mentioned on today’s @loosewomen...
“It’s because the episodes between Christmas and New Years were pre-recorded.
“No big secret, the pre-records were announced in the Christmas lineup!”
Solomon, who announced she and Swash were engaged on Christmas Eve two years ago, has since taken to her Instagram stories to thank fans for their well wishes.
She wrote: “I’m just trying to enjoy this crazy bit between Christmas and New Year where no one knows what day it is with all the pickles...
“Honestly you’re all so bloody sweet and kind and I can’t wait to come here and tell you EVERYTHING.”
She added that she couldn’t believe she was having “another baby” but is “over the moon”.
The presenter is already mother to son Rex, three, and daughter Rose, one, with Swash, who has a teenage son called Harry from a previous relationship.
The Loose Women star has son Zachary, 14, from her relationship with Dean Cox as well as son Leighton, 10, whose father is Aaron Barham.
