Coleen Nolan looked far from impressed as Loose Women gave a very blatant 'snub' to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, right after the panel had been discussing them attending King Charles III's Coronation.
One of the big new stories on Monday morning was the fact that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could attend Charles' upcoming Coronation in May, after all of the claims they've made together and individually about the Royal Family in the months that have followed Queen's Elizabeth II's death.
In his recently released memoir Spare, Prince Harry made allegations of an altercation between him and brother Prince William over Meghan in 2019, while also branding step mother and Queen Consort, Camilla as 'dangerous' and opening up on his jealousy over the preferential treatment given to heir to the throne William in their younger days.
Despite the claims made both in Spare, the various TV interviews to promo and in his and wife Meghan's headline-hitting Netflix series, Harry maintained that he wanted to reconcile with his family and it looks like he may get a chance to do that at his father's coronation in a few months time., with reports suggesting King Charles wants the American based couple there as its speculated he could do a sit down interview to respond to their claims.
An insider told the Main on Sunday: "The issue of substance is whether they attend the Coronation, and if they do, under what terms and conditions.
“The family is split, and all the indications are that Harry is being advised to agree to nothing at this stage and 'play it long' right up to the last minute, which is making negotiations with him very difficult."
Harry and Meghan's possible attendance at the King's Coronation became a hot topic at the start of Monday's Loose Women, with host Ruth remarking: "Watch this space. The thing is, if King Charles offers the invite, whether they accept it," as panellist Janet Street-Porter added: "And if they accept it, they must accept it graciously," with co-star Kelly Holmes, nodding in agreement and replying: "Absolutely."
There then came an awkward moment for Ruth when, after a general consensus on the panel that Harry and Meghan should be at the Coronation, she had to reveal that viewers at home though the exact opposite.
Ruth continued: "We asked you at home if you did think that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should be at the coronation and 64% of you said no."
The result prompted audible gasps from the audience as Coleen, sitting along from Ruth, looking unimpressed by viewers' take on things and reacting: "Ow!", as Ruth, also seeming taken aback by the result, added: "Interesting, we'll see if that changes."
